The southside of Glasgow is well-served with transport links for both private and public travel. Calderwood Lodge sits at the heart of the district and is within a very short distance of the A77 (Kilmarnock Road) with Giffnock and Newton Mearns to the south as well as being a direct route to city centre. The M77 is within a short drive to the west whilst the development has three train stations within a 2-mile radius.

Newlands as a community is one that thrives on being a friendly neighbourhood. Newlands Park lies at its centre and more often than not, there are various daily HIIT, yoga and spin classes on the go, not to mention its two tennis courts. The Giffnock branch of the Nuffield Health Group is within a short drive of the development whilst Pollock Country Park has some fantastic walking and cycling routes if you are not the gym sort. If breaking a sweat isn’t your bag, how about breaking open the bubbly? Shawlands is a hive of activity and has some of the best restaurants and bars in the city.

Artisan bakeries and coffee shops; fishmongers, cheesemongers, and butchers, as well as 4 national retailers, are all within 1.5 miles of Calderwood Lodge. There is also ample opportunity to use the fantastic transport links from the development to sample the delights of Glasgow’s city centre with the “Style Mile” still holding on strong in our digital age.

Newlands and the wider Shawlands areas have many General Practitioners, optometrists, physiotherapists, and more on their doorstep. The ‘New Victoria’ is also one of Glasgow’s largest hospitals which is located within 2 miles of the development.
