Eileen Dinning

With less than a year to go until her retirement, Eileen Dinning moved into her brand new home – a luxury two bedroom flat in CCG Homes’ Riverford Gardens – on 30 May 2019.

Eileen, who had been living in a top floor tenement-style flat nearby, had known for some time that she wanted to find a new home to spend her retirement years.  Two years ago, she was driving through Shawlands on her journey home from work when she noticed a sign for the new CCG Homes development.  She immediately got in touch to register her interest.

Eileen said: “When I saw the CCG Homes sign, I was eager to find out more – I knew they had a good reputation for customer service and building high quality homes, and the new development was in the perfect location for me.”

Riverford Gardens is set along the banks of the White Cart River, positioned between the popular areas of Pollokshaws, Shawlands and Newlands, with a total of 156 homes set to be completed in 2020. The housing mix of one and two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom semi-detached houses and four-bedroom terraced villas is tailored to meet the needs of the modern homebuyer, from first-time buyers and downsizers to families big and small.

Eileen continued: “I love everything about my new home. It is incredibly easy to keep clean, and has a high-end, luxury feel.  The fittings have been done to an exceptionally high standard, which has even been noticed by friends of mine who are tradespeople – that really speaks volumes.

“Something else I really value is the amount of natural light in the property – I am only on the first floor but it feels very light, spacious and airy.  I had the chance to choose the tiles and units in the bathroom and kitchen which I love, and it has really helped to personalise my space.”

Riverford Gardens offers a contemporary feel incorporating only the very latest in modern technology and has been designed with sustainability at its heart.  Each luxury home has been created with excellent energy performance ratings thanks to an enhanced building fabric complemented by ‘A’ rated appliances and solar PV, helping to reduce CO2 emissions and drive low energy costs.

Eileen commented: “I have not yet had any energy bills but I’m confident they will be lower than my previous property.  The good thing is I have not even had to use the heating since I moved in on 30 May – the property feels very well insulated and I know CCG are renowned for building energy-efficient homes.”

Externally, Riverford Gardens offers all that a modern lifestyle demands.  A number of the development’s two-bedroom apartments boast private terraces and balconies to enjoy the best of the Scottish summer days, while the 3 and 4-bedroom properties benefit from a driveway and a rear garden – perfect for entertaining adults and children alike.

Quality is something that lies at the heart of the CCG Homes brand – from customer service to the final build of each property.
