Consumer Code for New Homes

The purpose of the code is to ensure that all new homebuyers:

  • Are treated fairly at all times
  • Are given reliable information about their purchase
  • Know what service levels to expect
  • Know how to access the dispute resolution scheme

For any properties reserved from the 1st of January 2024, the Fifth Edition should be used as the purchaser’s reference.

The Consumer Code for New Homes is relevant to all prospective buyers of the CCG Homes development known as The Scholars.

Should any purchaser wish to register a complaint, you can do so via the undernoted, digital form. CCG Homes’ senior management will acknowledge your complaint no later than 5 working days after receiving the first correspondence. The complaint is then escalated to CCG Homes’ managing director followed by a written response with a pathway to resolution within a maximum period of 10 working days.

Should the complaint be associated with the workmanship of the property, the homebuyer, must allow CCG Homes adequate time to investigate and make things right. CCG Homes would aim to resolve the matter thereafter within 30 days or, with an explanation as to why, a period no later than 56 days from the complaint being made. (Ref. The Consumer Code for New Homes Page 20).
