FOR the first time ever, the Scottish Home Awards ceremony was live-streamed to a digital audience of over 300 guests on Thursday evening (29/10/20) with leading examples from the Scottish property sector celebrated like never before.
Hosted in the Glasgow Hilton, the night belonged to the CCG Group with three projects scooping up awards including Best Renovation for the former Bell Street Stables, presented to Wheatley Group; Affordable Housing Development of the Year (Mid-Sized) was won by Cunninghame Housing Association for Longpark Phase 7 and House of the Year for the CCG Homes Riverford Gardens ‘Terraced Villa’.
The House of the Year Award is the second to have been granted to the Riverford Gardens ‘Terraced Villa’ in as many years having won the Herald Property Awards Best Family Home (Small) in 2019.
Reaching three storeys, 1565 sqft and complete with four bedrooms, garage and garden, the property has been one of the most sought-after in the city of Glasgow since the development’s launch in September 2018.
CCG Homes Managing Director Calum Murray hailed the win as a special achievement for CCG Homes.
He said: “The ‘Terraced Villa’ forms a major part of the 156-home Riverford Gardens development and was designed in partnership with MAST Architects as a modern interpretation of the Glasgow South terraced home or townhouse.
“With 40 units included in the masterplan, many people may have looked at the associated risk of having such a house type but we knew that if we made the most our unique riverside location and delivered the right product – both in space and specification – we would be successful. Ultimately, this has proven to be the case as we have just reserved the Terraced Villa Show Home, the last remaining plot.
“This award is a special achievement for a brand that was only relaunched in 2018 and I whole-heartedly thank everyone who has been involved in the creation of the Terraced Villa and Riverford Gardens including our excellent contracts, sales and design teams, without whom this would not have been possible.”
A total of two plots remain for sale at the luxury development with two-bedroom apartments available from £189,000.
Full completion is expected in spring 2021.
